Statement of the objectives of the fellowship:
- To provide an informed Christian fellowship for members of St Andrew’s who are over 50 years of age.
- To provide a wider opportunity for members of the fellowship to be able to invite others in the community to share in the activities and enjoy each other’s company.
- Because of our wider experience, maturity and Christian commitment to develop a greater awareness, at this stage of our lives we have a vital role to fulfil and a unique contribution to make:
- Within our immediate family and circle of friends
- Within the life of our own church
- Within the community as a whole
- To explore ways in which we can marshall our energies, resources and skills in order to be able to exercise Christian encouragement and help to one another and others in the community.
Prime Time has been functioning since 1995. It has provided an excellent meeting place for people from Wahroonga and beyond to meet informally, to make new friends and to develop older acquaintances into closer friendships.
We have had speakers on a variety of subjects including such things as: Ethiopia, the Law and the Old Person, the Media, Air Traffic Control, the Church and Aborigines, Children’s Hospital, Northcott Society, Clocks and Watches, Flags, Christian Blind Mission, Heart Foundation, First Fleeters, Calligraphy, Test Cricket Umpiring, Anglicare, Being an Iraqi Hostage, The Flying Doctors, Genealogy, Mounted Police, Violins and Violin Making, Care Flight Helicoptor Service, Experience in Algeria, Archaelogical Digging around Jerusalem, Radio Rules the Waves…
It is a happy, enjoyable time. If you haven’t been able to participate so far, you are warmly invited to join Prime Time.
