Favourite Verse: ‘God made us alive with Christ when we were dead in our transgressions and sins’.
This verse reminds me of what I am without Christ. It also reminds that my new life in Christ is all God’s doing. Without the work of God in my life I would still be lost.
Favourite Passage in Difficult Times: Romans 8 with its climax, ‘nothing in all creation is able to separate me from the love of God in Christ Jesus!’
Whatever happens in this life, my future is secure in Christ. With this assurance I need not get anxious about my life, even when things start to unravel.
Favourite Song: May the Mind of Christ my Saviour.
This reminds me of the power of the gospel and the reality that Christ lives in me by his Spirit. This must change every aspect of my life: ‘all I do and say’.
