PDF: Jazz in Wahroonga Park – MEDIA RELEASE
Over 500 expected for Jazz event
Jazz in Wahroonga Park back for 2010
For immediate release
Jazz in Wahroonga Park is expecting over five hundred people to turn out for a night of friends, family, jazz and Jesus. St Andrews Anglican Church in Wahroonga is hosting the free community event in Wahroonga park on Saturday 27 February.
The night will start from 7:30pm with the Con Campbell Quartet to perform world class jazz for families enjoying picnics in the park.
Jazz sensation James Morrison has described Con Campbell as “a young player and composer of great originality and energy.” Con loves speaking about the connection between Jazz and Jesus. He says it is actually all about “freedom in the groove.”
Families are encouraged to bring their picnic rugs, friends and a packed dinner for a wonderful night under the stars.
Scott Tarrant, St Andrew’s Assistant Minister, is excited about the night: “St Andrew’s is eager to raise its profile in the local community. We are looking forward to a beautiful night getting to know more families around the area while enjoying outstanding Jazz.”
